Philosophy

Independent midwifery is all about choice.  In an industry that is highly regulated whether it be on a private basis or within the NHS.  At Suffolk Independent Midwives we value a family-centred approach, and can offer every mother flexibility, control and one to one care with a personally designed care plan, to suit your individual needs.

We aim to provide a continuity of care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods of your pregnancy. We believe that the relationship between the mother and her midwife, at this important time, is a fundamental part of good midwifery in todays society.

It is important to us that every mother should take an active role in her pregnancy and birth, and should be confident enough to make decisions based on informed-choice utilising the experience and knowledge of the private midwife.
